Volvo to expand in Egypt with fully electric vehicles

Ezz Elarab Automotive Group, the sole importer and exclusive distributor of Volvo cars in Egypt, recently announced the launch of the Swedish brand’s latest showroom at One Katameya in eastern Cairo.

Gerhard Kreindl, head of retail and business development for Volvo Cars in Europe, Middle East and Africa, revealed that Volvo Cars wants to expand in Egypt by installing fully electric vehicles in the country as soon as possible, noting that it was planned to run this .

“Volvo also plans to introduce electric vehicles in the Saudi market, in particular the Saudi government is very interested in the project and offers a well-established infrastructure,” Kreindl said.

Moreover, the brand also aims to display the latest models and innovative solutions that are added to their vehicles.

“The launch of the latest Volvo showroom east of Cairo is a great start for 2022, it is part of our expansion plan throughout Egypt and reflects the strong presence of our business. It also counts as a new milestone that we have achieved with the Swedish brand over the past few years. We are always working to raise the standards of car ownership through our modern showrooms and the luxury brands we deal with in Egypt.
